The Language of Phsyalis
Physalis, also known as the Chinese lantern is a perennial plant which belongs to a family of more than 80 different species including ground cherry and tomatillo.
In the language of flowers, the plant has been a favourite of Easterners and Westerners for centuries and is indigenous from southeastern Europe to Japan. They are very identifiable plants with large red/orange paper-like leaves covering it's fruit - resembling paper lanterns.
