WILD at HEART EUROPE triumphs at RHS Chelsea Flower Show: Wins Florist of the Year, Gold in Floral Creation and Secures Gold and Silver at Chelsea in Bloom
The prestigious Chelsea Flower Show has once again highlighted the best in floral design and creativity, and this year, Wild at Heart Europe has taken centre stage. In a remarkable achievement, their in-house award-winning florist Lara Thorpe has been awarded the coveted title of ‘Florist of the Year’ as well as won Gold for Best Floral Creation 2024. Wild at Heart Europe also secured Gold and Silver awards for their breathtaking floral installations at Chelsea in Bloom in collaboration with the prestigious hotels At Sloane and Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel.
A Triumph in Floral Design
Being named ‘Florist of the Year’ is no small feat. This award is a testament to Wild at Heart’ Europes and Lara’s unwavering commitment to excellence, creativity, and innovation. The award not only recognises exceptional skill and artistry but underscores the dedication to pushing the boundaries of floral design. This year, Wild at Heart Europe and Lara Thorpe have set a new standard in the industry, capturing the imagination and admiration of both judges and the public.
Lara’s Gold-awarded floral creation named ‘Spectrum of Fire’ focuses on the juxtaposition between the beauty fire possesses and the damage it causes. “Wildfires are becoming more common with climate change, and we must consider how to play our part in protecting our fragile planet for future generations.”
Chelsea in Bloom: A Showcase of Creativity
In addition to the Florist of the Year title, Wild at Heart Europe has dazzled spectators and judges alike at Chelsea in Bloom, the famous floral art competition that transforms Chelsea’s streets into a vibrant, flower-filled paradise. Competing under this year’s theme of Floral Feast, Wild at Heart Europe's innovative installations earned them Gold and Silver-Gilt awards.
Gold Award: The Gold-winning installation, titled ‘Ma Cerise,’ meaning ‘My Cherry’ in French, is in collaboration with ...At Sloane, a luxury and iconic hotel in the heart of Chelsea. The cherry was selected because it is symbolic of love, being a ripe, sensuous, and irresistible fruit. Constructed using natural moss, the cherries range in size, with some being up to 1 meter.
Silver-Gilt Award: The Silver-Gilt winning piece, titled ‘Ice Cream Sundae,’ captivates all ages and audiences at The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, by transporting them to a whimsical world where desserts meet floral fantasies. The sundae stands as a masterpiece of culinary artistry and botanical beauty. Within its depths, layers of vibrant carnations overflow, mimicking the appearance of luscious scoops of gelato. Alongside the display, The Cadogan has announced a partnership with acclaimed chef Anshu Anghotra on the launch of The Cadogan Cart, serving the finest artisan gelato.
