VISIT THE WILD AT HEART TEA ROSE GARDEN AT RHS HAMPTON COURT PALACE GARDEN FESTIVAL

The inspiration behind our tranquil and serene rose garden..

After many months in the making, we’re delighted to share that Nikki Tibbles, Wild at Heart Creative Consultant Dean Claydon and our landscaping team have designed and planted an incredible rose garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.

Enjoying high tea in the rose garden is the perfect antidote to today’s problems. Harking back to the Edwardian tea Gardens, a homage to this delightful pursuit. A refuge of serenity, polite chit chat and gossip wafting gently on waves of heavenly scent.

Within the garden, a foliage-draped gazebo the provides the focus point, at the centre, a large weathered urn bedded out with decorative ferns, giving an element of repose. The flowerbeds are planted up with various rose shrubs, carefully placed to create vistas. Under planted and fringed with grey foliage, edged with flowers in florist’s pinks, finished with a diminutive border of thyme. For a truly charming touch, all flowerbeds are delineated by real scallop shells, a dainty delight if ever there was one!

The flowers have been chosen in a colour palette of reds, oranges, pinks and yellow, to give vibrancy, set against softer pastel pinks and yellows which shimmers perfectly against the grey under planting and edging. The hero of the piece – roses, of all types, are grouped and rippled throughout like an exotic marble. With an emphasis on fragrance, structure and inherent beauty, the garden offers a perfect place to enjoy and reflect the time spent at Hampton Court Flower Show.

RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival from 5 – 11th July.
