THE LANGUAGE OF Flowers
THE LANGUAGE OF Lilac

How these magical flowers came to to receive their name...
The genus name of a Lilac flower is Syringa which derived from an Ancient Greek word: syrinx, which means ‘’pipe’’. Syringa (lilac) is a genus of 12 species of flowering woody plants in the olive family (Oleaceae). It is native to southeastern Europe to eastern Asia, and widely and commonly cultivated worldwide.

Not only is Lilac beautiful but it also has a deep and rich floral scent making it a wonderful addition to any bouquets.

Lilac only blooms for a few weeks so we try to use it as much as we can in the Spring. Lilacs flower colours are several, such as blue, white, purple, yellow, pink, and red.
