An intimate birthday celebration, a legendary London setting and a table designed with extraordinary care. For Antoinette’s special evening at Claridge’s, every detail was created to feel deeply personal, richly atmospheric and entirely her own.
Hosted inside The Fumoir, the party drew on the glamour of a 1950s supper club, reimagined with a contemporary edge. Warm candlelight, polished glassware, bespoke stationery and dramatic flowers came together to create a setting that felt elegant, nostalgic and full of personality.
There is something unmistakably special about The Fumoir at Claridge’s. Intimate, low lit and endlessly glamorous, it was the perfect setting for a birthday party designed to feel both private and cinematic.
Working alongside Alice Wilkes Design, the room was transformed into a bijoux celebration filled with warmth, character and detail. The brief was inspired by the romance of a 1950s supper club, with a refined modern sensibility woven through every element.
The tables were dressed with exquisite tableware by Maison Margaux, while Ruth Kaye Design created bespoke menus, matches and gifting, each carrying Antoinette’s name. These personal touches gave the evening a sense of thoughtfulness and intimacy, making every guest feel part of something truly special.
Rich Roses and Candlelit Drama
For the flowers, Nikki chose a deeply romantic palette of Quicksand, Red Naomi, Moab, Explorer, Mochacino and Cappuccino roses, layered with Red Charm peonies for richness and depth.
The result was opulent and atmospheric, with tones of crimson, coffee, blush, cream and soft caramel moving beautifully through the candlelight. Low arrangements ran along the table, creating an immersive floral story that felt abundant without overpowering the intimacy of the room.
Each arrangement was designed to echo the mood of the evening. Dramatic, elegant and full of feeling, the flowers brought softness, colour and a sense of occasion to every corner of the table.
