For a milestone birthday on the river, we wanted every detail to feel playful, polished and full of personality.
Set aboard a boat travelling along the River Thames, the celebration unfolded as a bright and joyful world of colour, symmetry and charm. Inspired by the world of Wes Anderson, the design brought together theatrical detail, nostalgic styling and a vivid sense of occasion, creating an atmosphere that felt both highly considered and effortlessly fun.
From the moment guests arrived at the ticket desk, the experience was shaped by character. Tailored uniforms, graphic signage and a rich green palette set the tone, while abundant florals softened the space with movement, colour and texture.
The boat became a world of its own as it made its way along the river. Mint green bars, crisp white surfaces and bespoke menus created a polished visual language, while the flowers introduced warmth, energy and a sense of spontaneity.
Vases filled with Icelandic poppies, Flaming Art tulips, viburnum, jasmine, Hermosa roses, Moab roses and rich tones of green and purple hellebore brought movement and character to every corner. Soft peach, coral and apricot tones were layered with deeper shades of red, green and plum, creating a palette that felt fresh, expressive and full of life.
From the bar to the food stations, each arrangement was designed to feel modern and generous without losing its sense of play. Flowers spilled across counters, rose from terracotta vessels and sat among bowls of limes, figs, grapes and chillies, turning each station into a vivid still life.
The dining tables offered a softer moment within the celebration. Delicate bud vases, layered menus, pale green linens and candlelight created an intimate setting, allowing the brighter installations to feel beautifully balanced by moments of restraint.
As the day moved into evening, the setting transformed with the rhythm of the river. What began as a colourful daytime celebration became something warmer and more atmospheric, filled with laughter, movement and unforgettable moments at every turn.
A 50th celebration designed to unfold beautifully from day into night, with every detail composed to feel joyful, personal and entirely memorable.
