Leonie Hanne's Wedding: A Love Story Told in Flowers

There is a particular joy that comes from witnessing a love story unfold over time and for us at Wild at Heart, Leonie's journey has been one of the most beautiful we've had the privilege of being part of. From the day she first moved to Notting Hill and bought her very first Wild at Heart bouquet, to her enchanting engagement dinner at Le Meurice in Paris, to her London wedding, every chapter has felt like a dream brought to life, together.

The Ceremony: A Garden of White

The ceremony space was built on a single, unwavering idea: abundance.

A sweeping backdrop of pooling ivory silk formed the altar, its soft folds catching the warm glow of antique wall sconces, flanked on either side by sculptural columns of cloud-like white hydrangeas that curled upward like something from a dream. This was not merely a backdrop; it was an immersive environment, designed to transport every guest.

Lining the aisle, enormous clusters of white blooms spilled across the herringbone parquet floor in wave-like formations, so generous, so full, that the effect was of walking through a garden rather than a room. Everything serves a purpose at Wild at Heart; nothing exists without intention. And here, the intention was pure romance.

As the couple walked the aisle together, petals falling softly around them and the room erupting in celebration, the joy on their faces was everything.

Leonie wore a bias-cut ivory satin gown, sleek, sculptural and utterly bridal, its off-shoulder detail lending the kind of architectural elegance that needs nothing more.

Her bouquet was a tightly bound sphere of the most beautiful white peonies, lush and full, the perfect counterpoint to the gown's clean line. Aquazzura heels in crystal-embellished cream completed the look with quiet precision.

The Reception: Candlelight, Silk and Flowers

For the reception, the setting shifted to a ballroom of breathtaking grandeur. Ornate Rococo plasterwork in pale grey and ivory, crystal chandeliers hanging overhead like frozen waterfalls, walls that seemed built for exactly this kind of evening.

The table design was a study in luxurious restraint. One long feasting table, dressed in the most exquisite champagne-blush silk taffeta that pooled dramatically onto the floor, a signature Wild at Heart gesture; fabric as a living element, sculptural and expressive. Dozens of white taper candles rose at varying heights along its length, their flames dancing across crystal glassware and silver flatware below.

Between the candles, low arrangements of white garden roses, sweet peas, peonies and hydrangeas seemed almost to have tumbled naturally into place, lush without being heavy, effortless in the way that only comes from great care and craft. Our team hand-flexed every stem, building compositions that danced through the length of the table, their soft tones harmonising perfectly with the ornate grandeur of the room.

Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede candles, nestled in both large pillar and votive sizes throughout the tablescape, wove their scent through the air alongside the flowers. A considered, sensory touch, and one that speaks to our belief that the most memorable celebrations engage all the senses, not just the eye.

Place settings featured gold-edged porcelain plates, ivory menus with the couple's embossed monogram, each tied with a delicate silk ribbon as a small keepsake of an extraordinary evening. A floor-level installation of overflowing white blooms anchored one end of the room, tealights flickering around its base, while magnificent draped chair covers in champagne and warm white completed the sense of total, immersive luxury.

The Bride's Second Look

If the ceremony look spoke to purity and simplicity, Leonie's second gown said something else entirely.

A spectacular column dress encrusted in thousands of crystals and pearls, swirling in fluid, sculptural lines across her silhouette, this was a gown that demanded a moment. And Leonie, cocktail in hand, laughing with full-throated joy as she stood on the dinner table to address her guests, gave it one. It was the most perfectly, beautifully her moment of the entire evening: glamorous, joyful, completely her own.

Wild at Heart thrives in seeing our clients' joy. Making dreams come true, working with the most extraordinary teams in the most extraordinary spaces. There is, genuinely, nothing comparable.

A Celebration to Remember

There is something that asks a great deal of an all-white wedding. With no colour to distract, every texture, every form, every bloom must earn its place. The flowers do the talking. The light does the rest.

What Leonie and Alex created, and what we were honoured to help bring to life, was a masterclass in just how extraordinary a single, committed palette can be. Blousy, generous, fragrant and deeply romantic: this was Wild at Heart at the heart of a love story.

From a first bouquet in Notting Hill to an evening like this, it has been the most beautiful journey to share.

To Leonie and Alex, with all our love and congratulations.
