Few venues capture theatrical grandeur and eccentric British romance quite like Aynhoe Park. For this unforgettable Cotswolds wedding, our brief was to honour the house’s historic drama while softening it with candlelight, clouds of flowers and a sense of intimate enchantment.
Guests arrived to a breathtaking floral arch embracing Aynhoe’s iconic stone doorway. Designed to feel as though it had grown organically from the building itself, the installation combined cascading foliage with layers of ivory and soft white blooms. Trailing textures spilled gently over the arch, creating a moment of quiet awe as guests passed beneath, setting the tone for a day rooted in romance and abundance.
ELEGANT TABLE SCAPES BY CANDLELIGHT
Inside, the atmosphere shifted to one of warmth and intimacy. Long and round tables alike were dressed in flowing white linens and illuminated with flickering candlelight. Low, abundant table arrangements featured creamy roses, delicate anemones with inky centres, hellebores and seasonal foliage, woven together to feel natural yet refined.
Glass hurricane lanterns with soft pink candles anchored the centre of the tables, while clusters of votives created a gentle glow that reflected beautifully off crystal glassware and gold accents. The effect was timeless and inviting, elegant without ever feeling formal.

For the larger dining spaces, we introduced dramatic gold candelabra crowned with deep-toned candles, adding height and rhythm to the room. Against Aynhoe Park’s sculptural interiors, classical detailing and whimsical curiosities, these statement pieces felt perfectly at home.
In the evening, the setting transformed once more. Long banquet tables were dressed in rich, dark linens, layered with golden candlelight and deep floral tones. Blue and indigo hues subtly echoed throughout the room, enhancing the sense of theatre and creating a magical, almost celestial atmosphere beneath the ornate ceilings.
This wedding was not just about flowers, but about feeling, the hush of candlelight, the softness of petals, the drama of scale and the romance of an extraordinary setting. Aynhoe Park provided the perfect canvas, and we loved bringing it to life with florals that felt both wild and exquisitely considered.
A celebration rich in mood, beauty and unforgettable moments, exactly how weddings at Aynhoe Park should feel.
