Framed by the serene waters of Lake Como and the rolling Italian hills beyond, this exquisite wedding was a true celebration of artistry, colour and romance. Wild at Heart was honoured to design the florals and full tablescape concept for this spectacular celebration, from the elegant ceremony overlooking the lake, to the joyful dinner under a golden pergola glowing with woven lanterns.
The evening before the wedding, guests were greeted at the couple’s villa with an intimate alfresco dinner set against the golden Italian sunset. The design was inspired by the rustic warmth of terracotta and the soft, natural tones of the surrounding landscape.
Terracotta vessels, hand-thrown ceramics, and textured glassware were paired with abundant floral arrangements in rich sunset hues, apricot, coral, burnt amber and soft blush. Dahlias, roses, chocolate cosmos, and clusters of wild berries combined to create arrangements that were both relaxed and deeply luxurious.
As light filtered through the trees, the tables glowed with amber candlelight and a palette that mirrored the villa’s ochre walls. It was a warm, joyful gathering, a moment for friends and family to come together and soak in the beauty of the lakeside setting before the celebrations to come.
Set within the manicured gardens of a grand Italian villa, the ceremony unfolded against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the world. A sweeping aisle of soft ivory, blush and champagne florals guided the bride towards the water’s edge, an ethereal path of hydrangeas, garden roses, lisianthus, and delicate grasses that seemed to float on air.
Every stem was placed with care to mirror the natural beauty of the lakeside setting, with undulating textures and airy compositions that complemented the vastness of the landscape. As the couple exchanged vows before the shimmering lake, the flowers framed the moment in timeless, romantic splendour.
Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed to an outdoor dinner that embodied warmth, joy and modern Italian charm. Beneath a custom-built yellow pergola, long banquet tables ran the length of the lawn, dressed in hand-printed linens, rattan lanterns, and an explosion of colour through Wild at Heart’s floral artistry.
The tablescape was a symphony of saturated summer hues, coral, apricot, blush and raspberry, woven through abundant dahlias, hydrangeas, and garden roses. Glass candlesticks in pink and amber tones danced in the sunlight, while woven vessels and patterned plates added a playful, handcrafted touch.
The floral runner cascaded through the centre and spilled onto the grass, creating a sense of organic movement and celebration. Each detail, from the bespoke printed menus to the taper candles, was chosen to balance luxury with an effortless Italian spirit.
Every element of this destination celebration, from the intimate dinner to the lakeside ceremony, was infused with emotion, colour, and craftsmanship. Through floral storytelling and meticulous design, Wild at Heart brought the couple’s vision to life, creating an unforgettable celebration of love and beauty on the shores of Lake Como.
