THE WEDDING EDIT
Wedding romance at Kensington Palace
Working with Kensington Palace is always a pleasure. So we were delighted when we were asked to design a gorgeous wedding in the Kensington Palace Orangery. The bride’s brief was simply that she wanted to create a wedding with the ‘wow factor’, giving us free reign to create something wonderful.
Two Large traditional urns on matching plinths were used at the entrance to create an impact for guests as they arrived at the venue for a drinks reception. These were filled with a mass of white delphinium, soft pink hydrangea, vintage roses including quicksand, amnesia, memory lane, secret garden and O’Hara with cream peonies, soft grey eucalyptus and trailing ivy.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST
The Orangery was filled with gorgeous long tables which felt endless. A mix of soft pink hydrangeas, and vintage roses, including quicksand, amnesia, memory lane, secret garden and O’Hara with cream peonies, sweet peas, scented jasmine, soft grey eucalyptus and trailing ivy made up the table arrangements.
Working on a largely white setting we wanted to create a warm atmosphere, while still keeping it classic. We chose Monet biscuit linen with matching napkins to create a welcoming colour palette.
The finishing touch was a series of silver edged storm lanterns, at varying heights, with clusters of tea lights to complement the beautiful low floral arrangements. It looked lovely, and the magic truly came alive when we lit lots and lots of lovely candles throughout the venue.
It really was a perfect setting, even if a storm loomed outside! Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom, it was a perfect day.
