THE LANGUAGE OF PEONIES

How these loved flowers came to receive their name...

We are so excited that our May flower of the month is peonies - a favourite for all!

Peonies are native to Asia, Europe and Western North America and there are more than 6,000 varieties of peonies.

They sadly have a short blooming period from late April - early June.

Although peonies have a short blooming season, they bloom perfectly in time for wedding season making them now of the most popular wedding flower.

Peonies are so loved due to their ruffled petals and beautiful textures, whether on their own or paired with other flowers in a bouquet.
