THE LANGUAGE OF DAISIES
How these little beauties came to receive their name...
Bellis perennis, the daisy, is a European species of the family Asteraceae. Although they originated in Europe, they can now be found in every continent except for Antarctica.
Daisies typically bloom in spring to early summer however if they are given the right conditions, they can flower for a longer period of time
As well as being beautiful little flowers, daisies are actually edible flowers and are also known to have many medical properties too.
We love to use daisies on their own or incorporated into summer bouquets to evoke the feeling of British summertime.
