  • TOP TIPS TO CARE FOR YOUR DAHLIAS

    1. If you are cutting your dahlias directly from your garden, strip off all the leaves that will be below the water line in your vase as this will cause them to release bacteria, shortening the life of your flowers.

    2. Cut your stems at a diagonal angle every few days to ensure the stems can get as much water as possible.

    3. Check the water everyday and replace every 2-3 days.

    4. Keep your dahlias in a cool place - away from hot appliances and direct sunlight.

  • DAHLIAS IN HISTORY

Dahlias originated in Mexico and are now their national flower. It is said that the Aztecs used dahlias as food and medicine. Dahlias have been in Europe for over 200 years, having been bought over to Madrid in the 18th Century.

    LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS

Dating back to Victorian times, The Language of Flowers is the belief that all flowers hold different meanings, many of which derived from ancient myths and still hold the same meaning now.
