Summer Flower Trends of 2018

Summer Flower Trends of 2018

Flower trends are constantly evolving. This week, the World of Wild at Heart reviews what is on our radar for event flowers over this Summer 2018.

With an international reputation for transforming any space into a truly luxurious event, the team at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart have spent this Summers lead up creating unique and immersive environments, packed with creativity and flair to seriously wow guests.

A significantly popular trend, growing from 2017, botanical, garden inspired designs are leading the direction for 2018. The overall look and feel is tropical with arrangements packed with texture and depth, emulating what has been grown within the garden.

This look was encapsulated most recently at an event working with Banana Split. Our team helped to transform the Mandrake Hotel's Jurema Terrace into an evergreen haven. Guests dined amongst an abundance of sweet peas, hydrangeas, fern leaves and slipper orchids.

There's always room for romance with key trends, and this Summer is no different. This look brings blousy garden roses, soft pink peonies, lilac tones from the sweetest smelling sweet peas paired with green foliage to compliment. Allowing for plenty of texture to bounce off the candlelight.

For a recent promotional photoshoot with The Social Kitchen and The Marylebone Rooms, this look was replicated using a light ethereal display with a celebration of soft flowers.

While soft, muted pastels are a popular colour scheme this year, we have also noticed movement towards the pairing of opposing brighter colours for more of a trend-savvy palette. This incredibly bold combination offers ongoing delight and interest.

With this trend considered, the events team at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart worked alongside event planner Fiona Leahy to create a wonderful Mexican inspired dinner setting in celebration of L'object's new Tulum collection. The statement pieces from the collection were softened by blousy coral charm peonies and dahlias placed against contradictory agave leaves and succulents.
