Notting Hill Wild At Heart North Elevation With Florist The unique building that is home to the first Nikki Tibble’s Wild at Heart shop was commissioned by the residents of Westbourne Grove back in 1993. Now one of the most well-known architectural land-marks in Notting Hill, the ‘Turquoise Island’ store, created by Piers Gough is renowned for its sharp angles, bright walls and ultimately the paradox of the dual usage of the building… a public toilets and stunning florist shop!

At the start of Nikki’s floristry career, she received a letter inviting London based florists to interview for tenancy at the Island. After sending a beautiful bouquet to the council, in true ‘Wild at Heart’ style, Nikki was given the keys the very next day. The shop, which has now achieved listed status, was the start of Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart and despite having the Flagship Pimlico shop and Liberty concession, the ‘Island’ will always hold a special place.
