Available from late February through to September the sweet pea or ‘delicate pleasure’ is a firm favourite at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart
Stunning scent and paper like petals make the sweet pea a welcome edition in any summer arrangement or equally on mass as a standalone statement piece.
The feminine flower comes in an array of different tones, from creamy whites through to pretty pastels and deep burgundies. Originally the ethereal petal was only solid in colour but now flower growers have perfected two tone, striped and swirled pattered varieties.Caring for your sweet pea’s… Sweet Peas are very thirsty flowers, to ensure you get the most out of your arrangement re-cut the stems before placing the flowers in cool, clean water, replacing every day.

Last Thursday we held a drinks reception at our Pimlico shop in celebration of Chelsea Flower Show and Belgravia in Bloom. Nikki and the team were delighted to welcome friends of Wild at Heart to our story book themed soirée, complete with floral cocktails and themed canapés.
Set in the Nikki Tibbles ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ forest with the 10ft protagonist, Carol, acting as the perfect backdrop, guests were welcomed with hibiscus and floral gin and tonics from Martin Millers Gin and Merchants Heart drink enhancer.
In line with Belgravia’s week long celebration of classic story books, creative caterers – The Social Pantry – devised a stunning menu of canapés based on a few of our favourite childhood stories.
- Where the Wild Things Are – Wild Garlic and Roasted Tomato Tart
- The Princess and the Pea – Summer Pea, Parmesan & Mint
- James and the Giant Peach – Grilled Peach, Basil & Mozzarella Quinoa Crisp Arancini.
Thank you to all those who came and made it a truly wonderful evening… Until next year #BelgraviainBloom

This week we installed two stunning columns at the entrance of Brasserie 108 in celebration of the coinciding Chelsea Flower Show and launch of the hotels drinks brand, The Marylebone Gin. Taking inspiration from the vibrant purple and orange tones of the bottle, the wild installations were created using a harmonious mix of coral garden roses, campanula, gazania, kalanchoe and ferns.
The botanical installations will be outside of Brasserie 108 for the next week – share your pictures with us using the #wildatheartinbloom.

Strolling through the streets of Chelsea and Belgravia last week, we were greeted with floral installations on every corner. Sloane Square was transformed into the plains of Africa – with residents taking on this years theme – a ‘Floral Safari’. Whilst Belgravia turned nostalgic with a week long celebration of classic ‘Children’s Story Books’.
Embracing the theme we transformed the front of our Pimlico Road Flagship store into a scene from the classic ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ book. Using all natural materials our team have re-created one of the books leading characters ‘Carol’. The 10ft friendly monster has been sculpted out of moss, wicker and decorated in over 700 leaves.
Thank you to all those who stopped by and came to say hello to ‘Carol’…!

Next Tuesday 22nd of May marks the start of the world renowned HRH Chelsea Flower Show and the inevitable transformation of the streets of London. As shops, restaurants and hotels around the city prepare to adorn their fronts with fresh flower installations, we are taking a look at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart’s best ‘London in Bloom’ moments….
Last May Wild at Heart transformed the entrance of The Bloomsbury Hotel with an ‘Overgrown English Country Garden’ installation. The abundant arch was created with wild plants and flowers from lupins, foxgloves, rose plants, lavender and calceolaria gems to jasmine, hydrangea, cosmos and of course beautiful wisteria! In honor of last years Chelsea Flower Show we created a rather fabulous installation outside of Berkeley Square’s Sexy Fish restaurant. Sitting above the restaurant’s orange canopy with its pouting red glitter lips, fluttery eyelashes and sparkling gold scales the statement fish was quite the head turner. This incredible installation took our team over ten days to create using over 1,000 custom-coloured hydrangea, 7,000 orchid heads, 200g of red glitter for those pouty lips, 12 cans of glitter spray, 40 cans of spray paint. One of our favourite Chelsea in bloom moments has to be the complete transformation of Sloane Square’s Kate Spade New York Shop. Nikki and the Wild at Heart team created a true floral fairy tale with two large carnation flamingos, fluffy gypsophila clouds and miniature mushrooms… Winning Wild at Heart the Gold Award, Innovation Award, and the People’s Champion award.
Look out for our floral installs around London next week at The Marylebone Hotel, Soane and our very own Pimlico store!
