Last week the Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart team set off on an exciting project around Europe. Visiting 8 countries in just 8 days we built a record 65 trees in various different shopping villages under the Value Retail umbrella.
Taking inspiration from the original Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart tree, at Bicester Village, we created several vibrant rose bushes in each mall.
We would love to see your pictures of our various installations and vignettes across the villages, upload your pictures using the #nikkitibbleswildatheart
Nikki recently spent the morning with reader’s of House & Garden for talk on all things landscaping and flowers. A select few garden enthusiasts joined Nikki and Carole Annette, House & Gardens Retail and Promotions Editor, for an inspirational brunch at Bicester Village. At home in the intimate setting, Nikki revealed how she forged her career as a luxury florist and more specifically, how her relationship with Value Retail has taken her down a very different path of landscaping. The ongoing two year project with Bicester Village has seen Nikki successfully transform the mall into an abundant ‘English Country Garden’, with each of the 180 still life vignettes changing throughout the seasons to mirror the surrounding Oxfordshire Countryside.
Nikki explained how she ‘dreamt of Bicester Village being an old manor house and the mall being a wild, overgrown garden – immersing shoppers’. Challenging industry experts, Nikki and the Wild at Heart team scoured individual, original antiques from around the world to create various focal points within the mall. As well obtaining plants, herbs and trees from nurseries around Europe to create unimaginable yet stunning combinations. With incredible attention to detail the evolving transformation of Bicester Village has surpassed all original concept’s gaining recognition from notified industry experts and publications. Having given the Village it’s own identity, Nikki now plans expand her creative talents to various different retail destinations across Europe – with her next project taking her and the team to Kildare Village, Ireland this week…

Last week we installed a beautiful blossom tree in Bicester Village designer shopping outlet. The inspiration for our creation was to mark the start of spring and the up-coming wedding season, so 250 stems of cherry pink blossom were crafted into a stunning tree packed full of cheerful fuchsia tones.
Bicester Village have told us that the tree is a huge hit with their customers, with lots of shoppers stopping to have their picture taken in front of it. We’re not surprised, its vibrant hues look perfect against a blue sky, and instantly speak of spring.
