It’s a sad time for florists as the end of the Peony season is upon us. It’s been one of the best yet with Wild at Heart using the blousy beauties to create the most magnificent urns, bridal bouquets and summer arrangements. We have put together a selection of our favourite peony pictures to celebrate the end of one of the most magical seasons in floristry.

Nikki was featured in The Daily Mail this week in an inspirational article detailing her rise to becoming one of the most esteemed luxury florists in London. Starting her career off in advertising Nikki didn’t feel she had enough of an outlet for her natural creativity, so after helping produce the flowers for a friends wedding something clicked and her journey to forming Wild at Heart began.

Floristry has since enabled Nikki and close friend Nadine to start the Wild at Heart Foundation a charity that supports animal welfare worldwide.

Lillingston-GoffsJune132016103Wild at Heart  had the pleasure of dressing the renowned GOFF’S London sale last month organised by top events company, Lillingston. The event held outside of The Orangery at Kensington palace saw racehorses being auctioned for the third time in central London. A fabulous selection of light canapes were served to guests as they enjoyed summer drinks on the terrace, embodying the essence of a truly spectacular summer party.

High-end department store Selfridges became the official sponser of the sale this year, so the theme behind the flowers had to, of course, incorporate the iconic yellow that they have become so well known for.

Although, in typical British fashion the summer sun never quite appeared, the canary yellow and white flowers shone in their themed Selfridges hat boxes. The striking arrangements were positioned on top of an array of beautiful garden furniture that had been picked from Lillingston Livings’s carefully curated stock of interiors and event furniture, giving the whole event the Lilingston look.

Lillingston-GoffsJune13201618Lillingston-GoffsJune13201626We created two large, stand out urns for the entrance of the event containing tall, pearly delphinium and the most gorgeous fever few daisies which added notes of yellow to the arrangements. Small, random, vases of pretty wild flowers were distributed around the event adding character to another of Lillingston’s sensational events.

There is something magical about dining outside, whether it’s in the heat of the mid-day sun or on a balmy evening, al fresco dining can make for memorable moments. We have put together some of our favourite outdoor settings to offer inspiration for any wedding, party or family gathering. So take dinner parties outside this summer-time and make the most of the short lived warm weather.

1. Crisp white table cloths and simple wine glasses, with an abundance of candles to create a warming atmosphere.  The creamy rose arrangements mirrored  the white cliffs of this Santorini setting.

3. The standout red and peach rose arrangements were displayed in different sized urns here to create varied focal points.

Last Thursday we joined A-list party planner Bruce Russell and Blue Ribbon Co. for a morning of summer party inspiration. The event held at The South Kensington Club exuded notes of the tropics, a key trend of SS16. Four table settings were showcased at the exclusive London venue  to give guests exceptional home entertaining ideas for the season.

Highlights of the settings included stand out white boned crockery, heavy baccarat crystal and eccentric animal cutlery with hints of coral.

settingWild at Heart created stand out center pieces, filling large deep green crystal vases with clashing pink and yellow garden roses.

We created a standout focal point in the room using an over sized vase, brimming with tropical leaves and a vibrant mix of  sweet scented garden roses, seasonal dahlias and gazmania bromeliad an exotic plant homed from the tropics.

The annual Masterpiece fair returned to The Royal Hospital Chelsea last week, bringing together over 150 exhibitors who showcased outstanding museum quality pieces from the realms of art, antiques and design. The show has fast become one of the most prominent global gatherings in the industry, welcoming exhibitors and collectors from around the world.

Wild at Heart returned this year as the recognised flower provider for the show creating 12 large standout pieces which were distributed throughout the venue. In keeping with the setting the arrangements were made up of classical creams and greens using blousy peonies, hydrangea, magnolia and delphinium’s to add height to the arrangement. Wispy asparagus fern was then used in the cascading arrangements to create a natural an ethereal look.

The beginning of July has not only brought with it the sunshine but an abundance of fresh floral variety at the New Covent Garden Flower Market. Vibrant colours and pretty pastels have been the theme of the week, with our florists making-up unique creations all bearing our trademark Wild at Heart style.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset  The market was bustling with bright fuschia and pastel garden roses which we have been using to create simple one-variety pastel bouquets or the spectacularly large ombre creation above.collage

We have been making the most of short but sweet peony season this week, using bright pinks and corals to add  feminine accents to our bouquets. Chamomile and lilac scabias stock were used within some of our arrangements to denote a wild and natural essence.
