The start of Glastonbury marks the beginning of festival season, with nationwide festivals running over the course of the summer and music fans everywhere praying the sun stays out and the rain stays away.
Festival fashion is, as ever, a hot topic – Elle magazine’s do’s and don’ts of festival fashion is a great place to start if you’re planning your festival wardrobe.
Fresh flowers and pretty circlets are a real mainstay of festival outfits, and I’ll be giving you tips getting the look just right over the course of festival season.
To start your inspiration, here’s a mood board we created on gorgeous circlets – from dainty whites to pretty purples, and brighter, bold pink:
Last weekend saw the launch of the inaugural GROW London event, founded by Will Ramsay to inspire keen and would-be gardeners and show that anyone can be enthused about gardening.
I was delighted to attend what I hope will be an annual event, and loved spotting key themes and on-going trends.
The English country garden style clearly remains popular, and the exhibits were brimming with towering foxgloves, delicate grasses and beautiful delphinium.
It was a beautiful day to explore and the warm weather surely gave inspiration to new gardeners hoping to spend more time in the garden in what’s shaping up to be a glorious summer.
With long sunny evenings, warm blue skies and the start of Wimbledon, summer’s truly in full swing.
To celebrate, we’re running a competition giving you the chance to win one of our gorgeous summer bouquets.
We can’t wait to see your pictures!
Inspired by the World Cup in Brazil, we’ve created a vibrant bouquet using hot orange roses, lime green guelder rose and deep blue delphinium accented by beautiful hydrangea, dahlias and achillea.
We’re dreaming of hot sand, deep blue sea, brightly feathered tropical birds and a burst of colours at carnival.
Royal Ascot is in full swing this week and is as much an opportunity to admire everyone’s wonderful outfits as it is to watch the races.
If you’re looking for ideas for a stylish way to stand out from the crowds, why not use real flowers to complement your outfit?
Our stores would be happy to help you create a unique and beautiful adornment. Take a look at this floral comb we recently made with the amazing team at Kate Spade New York for inspiration:
It’s British Flowers Week this week, led by New Covent Garden Flower Market to champion the wealth and variety of British flowers.
If you visit the New Covent Garden Market website you can download and print a guide to seasonal British flowers so you can see the best flowers to buy or grow throughout the year.

Last week we ran a competition on our Facebook page asking people what made them feel lucky and selected our favourite response to win a beautiful summer bouquet and turn unlucky Friday 13th into a lucky day.
We were blown away by the responses and absolutely loved reading through everyone’s inspiring comments.
The winning comment was from Jacquie, whose beautiful comment really moved us. You can read it here.
If you’d like to read through more of these lovely responses, you can see them all on this post on our Facebook page. We hope you’re enjoying your bouquet Jacquie!
