In preparation for Valentine’s Day, my shops are beginning to flourish in bundles of love, hearts and roses.

Yesterday the talented Sarah, from SIB Design, worked her magic in Pimlico as she carefully hand-painted gorgeous red hearts on to the windows. Visible from afar, the hearts look perfectly romantic as a backdrop for my fabulous flower.

Gentlemen have already been ordering bouquets in their hoards to surprise their Valentine next month; there’s going to be a lot of blissful ladies on 14th February!

Don’t forget, you can get 20% off you Valentine’s Day bouquet if you order online before 7th February.

WOW, WOW, WOW!  Welcome to flower paradise at the breath-taking Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan.

The magnificent park is an all-year round of colour changing florals.  Each season a new flower grows creating an ever changing colour palette paradise.  In spring baby blue nemophilas fill the fields with dusty blue gorgeousness.  Green cotton wool shrubs transform into dark crimson balls as summer comes to an end and the river of flowers sparkle endlessly.

I think I’ve found my heaven.  And my top-spot for ‘Places to visit in 2014’ list!

Simply – you guessed it – WOW.

Tomorrow I am very excited to be whizzing over to Paris for the fabulous Maison & Objet exhibition.  One of my favourite shows, Maison & Objet is the piece-de-résistance for design lovers alike.

Bringing together all the arts of living, I will be stepping in to a wonderland of beautiful things.  The showcase gathers together top players in the industry, chooses the best to offer, inspires new trends and promotes art and creativeness worldwide.  I’m not sure I’ll ever want to leave.

Come back next week to find out what I fall head-over-heels for and what ended up on my (very long, no doubt!) Wild at Heart shopping list.

As anyone who knows me, I love my neon trainers! I can always be spotted dashing from meeting, to event, running after Reuben, back to meeting again, all in a faithful pair of trainers.

So you can imagine my joy at learning trainers are big news on the trend scene for 2014. Seen on many of the front rows and favoured by the fashion pack including Rihanna and Rita Ora, along with a pair of sparkly sneakers at this week’s Chanel Haute Couture Show, it’s a refreshing and fabulous trend and one I will be sure to continue following. Just look how fabulous the gorgeous Cara Delevingne was as a fetching bride on the Chanel catwalk in a dazzling pair of group

So it’s official, trainers are cool and chic! Surely this calls for a new pair of Nikes….

Gwen Stefani:  One of my favourite celebrity brides.  Not only for her effortless glamour, but because how amazingly stunning she looked in her pink ombré John Galliano dress.

Ombré is the French word that refers to a colour graduating from light to dark.   If you aren’t brave enough to use this style on your wedding dress, then there’s lots more ideas where you can incorporate this stunning vision of colour.  From bridesmaids to cakes, flowers to favours, ombré styling is a fabulous way of including multiple shades of colour into your wedding day.

Burns night is celebrated on January 25th and commemorates the life of Scottish poet, Robert Burns, whose work includes ‘Auld Lang Syne’.

Many people hold a Burns dinner which focuses on toasts and readings of pieces written by Robert Burns, accompanied by traditional fare including the famous ‘haggis’. When the haggis is placed on the table, to the reading of the ‘Address to a Haggis’, it is then sliced in two, signally for the meal to begin.  A wee dram of Scotch whisky is also the tipple of choice on this occasion.

Our special edition Burns Night Bouquet is a traditional bouquet made up of white roses, white, purple and blue anemones with purple clematis.

Burns Night

On January 31st the Chinese New Year and the ‘Year of the Horse’ begins.  For those born in the year of the horse, their characteristics include bundles of energy, extremely independent, confident and proud, yet at the same time sweet-natured, tolerant and humble.

Our special edition Chinese New Year Bouquet is a fabulous clash of bright colours including beautiful orange, yellow and red roses and ranunculus with seasonal foliage.

Aren’t the colours in this bouquet utterly delectable?  I made this arrangement up for a client who wanted to surprise his wife.  There was no anniversary, birthday or occasion; he simply wanted to say ‘I love you’.  My heart melted!  This gorgeous bouquet is made up of peach Carpe Diem, pink O’hara, scented, spay and guelder rose and hypericum and lilac.Picture1
