I just had to share this with you.

I’ve just arrived back from a meeting and was greeted with the most fabulous invite.  Sat on my desk was a beautifully written invitation addressed to Lenny, Tia, Reuben and Smith… my dogs!  Ralph Lauren and Kate Reardon at Tatler have invited us all to an afternoon of accessories, pet pampering and prizes.  How fabulous!  It’s going to be a woofin’ good time…

My weekend has been full to the brim of fabulous flowers, exciting events, and ever-flowing ideas.  And it’s not about to stop there!

Our week ahead is jam-packed with sample meetings with gorgeous brides (I’m meeting brides from England to as far as Australia!) and luxurious events with A-list clients.

Starting today, we are delighted to be involved in the launch of a brand new ‘artist and art lovers’ restaurant, The Keepers House.   Opening at the Royal Academy, and ran by the extremely talented Oliver Peyton, The Keepers House is tucked away in the corner of the academy’s courtyard and provides a haven for artists alike.  To match the restaurants incredible menu which is full of wild forage and locally sourced organic products, we will be filling the restaurant with beautiful rose-hips, delicately placed in recycled hand-blown glass vases.

My taste buds are going wild!  I can’t wait to visit.

For most people, Friday means the end of a week and an exciting two days off on the horizon. But for me – mine is only just beginning –  and I’m raring to go!  Although I’m not sure my weeks ever have a start or end….

On top of all the fabulous events we have this weekend – weddings, bar mitzvahs and private dinners – I have numerous exciting projects to be working on and looking forward to.  Yesterday, I met with fabulous handbag designer, Susannah Hunter, and I’m thrilled to reveal a collaboration for us both.  I’ve known Susannah for years; I actually bought my favourite ever handbag from her 16 years ago at The Cross.  Obviously, the first thing that attracted me to her bags was the beautiful floral designs.  A match made in heaven some might say!

Our project will incorporate Susannah’s beautiful bags and my stunning bouquets.  The end ‘prize’ will be in a collection of gorgeous Wild at Heart inspired bags.

I’m delighted to be working so closely with Susannah – it’s the perfect pairing in all ways.  Watch this blog for more details.

I’m always asked the same question:  what inspires me?  Life inspires me.  People, places, animals, food – the list could go on.

I can spend hours on my iPad picking out thousands of photos I adore, or suddenly an inspiring image can pop into my head when I’m making a cup of tea.
So, to help answer that question I have decided to let you in on my very own thoughts and inspirations.

From now on everything I see and do, you can also share it with me.   A collection of my mood boards have been posted on our Facebook page.  Please take a look and let me know what you think.

From boho-inspired weddings to vintage glam parties, we’ve just about lived and breathed it all.  Yet, the most simplest of briefs can sometimes be the most thrilling.  This week, one of my favourite make-up artists called to ask if I could create some simple yet stunning bouquets for a private party.  The theme: make-up.

I had so much fun putting together these fabulous lipstick coloured bouquets.  They are so perfectly matched I had to stop myself from covering the whole floor in an array of lipstick colour pink and reds!

Balloons at a wedding have always thrown up the same question: sweet or tacky?  I have to admit, I was always of the latter, but since being involved in a number of weddings this year, which included balloons, I’m beginning to change my mind.  Just this weekend, I was at a 5* venue in London setting up gorgeous arrangements of gold and cream flowers – and I couldn’t keep my eyes off these most wonderful gigantic balloons.

Bubblegum Balloons had created the most stunning giant 3ft wedding balloons which floated above a colour wash of tassels and filled with fabulous feathers.  They had such a fun and happy feel attached to them, no-one left the room without a huge smile across their face.  I’m now obsessed with finding all these fun photos online of big balloons.  Who would have thought!

So, my tip for 2014?  Have balloons.  Big and fabulous!

If I could live my life through photos, I would.  I adore them.  I believe a single photo can tell a thousand stories.  So, I feel incredibly honoured to count talented photographer, Martyn Thompson, as one of my nearest and dearest friends.

Martyn and I have known each-other for years.  I have travelled all over the world with him, followed his work so closely I could probably name every single photo he has ever taken, and been lucky enough to produce a book with him – Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart.

His latest book, Working Space, is a collection of beautiful photos of diverse ranges of workplaces and studios.  Giving readers an insight into the creative life, Working Space finds those special spaces where history is made.  You won’t find your typical office in this book; it’s about people who are passionate about what they do – and where they find their inspiration.  It takes a look inside the life of people such as artist Cindy Sherman, fashion designers Meadham Kirchhoff, barista Harry Levy, and many more.

I’m honoured that Martyn has chosen to launch this incredibly special book next month at my very own Work Space – my flagship store in Pimlico, London.

I am a perfectionist in every aspect.  And believe me when I say, you can’t get any more perfect that Martyn Thompson.

Finally, the fashion world has cottoned on to the fabulousness of dogs!

These photos from Gucci’s latest ‘Forever Now’ campaign have made my heart melt.   Much to my delight, instead of the usual stunning images of 6ft tall glamorous models, photographer Bruce Weber and Gucci have decided to opt for the cuteness 2ft tall four-legged animals.   Fabulous!

Promoting the brands iconic Bamboo Bag, their latest advertising campaign includes three golden retrievers, a miniature dachshund and a foal.   Gorgeous Italian model, Charlotte Casiraghi, also features among the furry animals but for me, my eyes were glued elsewhere!

What quite their purpose is, I’m not so sure.  But then again, who needs a purpose when dogs are involved?!

We had the absolute pleasure in creating an ‘English country garden’ setting for a stunning wedding in Chelsea last week.  Our colour theme was made up of delicate blues and whites, with a touch of peach.  We used a mix of hydrangeas, garden roses, gypsophila, delphinium and camomile to create an array of beautiful arrangements.  Vintage bottles and jam-jars were displayed perfectly on the tables, huge urns and an arch was created for the beautiful church and pretty flower crowns were made for the bridesmaids to match their soft blue dresses.  Breathtaking.

I am over the moon to be able to reveal that we have been voted Best Wedding Florist of 2013.

It was an absolute honour to receive the award, not only for the recognition of the tremendous hard-work the team and I have put in this year, but because it was voted for by YOU.

The stylish awards ceremony was held at the spectacular Institute Of Directors today and hosted by the gorgeous ladies at Perfect Wedding Magazine.   The sound of applause broke out as our name was read – and I think the smile on my face and spring in my step said it all.

Moments like these I will treasure forever: my life is my work and my work is my life.

So, I will carry on doing what I do best…. as long as you all carry on getting married!
