New holiday wear brand, Hibiscus was launched in Spring 2012 by Sarah O’Keefe, cofounder of the Cross (the iconic boutique in London’s Holland Park) and as a fan and friend of the Cross, Nikki was more than happy to help Sarah out when she required flowers for the Hibiscus Summer 2013 PR shoot.
Hibiscus came about after Sarah decided to award herself an adult gap year in 2011, with a view to re designing her life and career from scratch. Through a series of events and introspection, Sarah found herself set squarely on ‘Hibiscus’, her new holiday wear label and Myhibi.com the website dedicated to selling Hibiscus and other holiday bits and pieces she loved. The designs are deliberately timeless, allowing you to build your own capsule wardrobe from summer to summer. The Hibiscus Summer 2013 collection will be launched on Myhibi.com in March.

If you are looking for red carpet glamour for your wedding day then there are very few designers that combine the perfect mixture of Hollywood charm and bridal elegance quite like Elie Saab manages to. Even his non-bridal collections feature elements that are ideal for inspiration for brides-to-be. And last week’s spring/summer 2013 Paris Haute Couture show was just as inspiring. Elie’s models floated down the catwalk in fairytale dresses of lace and ballgowns of crystals; white lace flowers strewn between splashes of iridescent silver and plentiful swishing skirts.
Elie called it an ‘Ode to Delicateness’ and followed through with some incredible dresses whose embroideries appeared to float magically across the models’ bodies. Dita Von Teese was among the many of Saab’s clients in the crowd who were blown away by Saab’s final runway moment, a bride swallowed up by millions of miles of ivory crinoline that had been made from baroque floral lace with a matching tulle veil.

You may remember that at last year’s Battersea Dogs and Cats Home Collars and Coats ball, Nikki bid for the dog coat designed by Jenny Packham. The floral coat was modelled on the night by one of the fabulous dogs from Battersea and to Nikki’s excitement her bid won, bagging herself this stylish dog coat. So, we thought that you would like to see a few pictures of one of Nikki’s four dogs, Tia, modelling the coat like a pro!

I was very excited to open the pages of the Feb/March issue of Wedding magazine today to fine the fabulous wedding of Jenny and Matt which we worked on back in September. This wedding was all about the flowers, with a beautiful colour scheme of pink, blue, purple and silver, we were able to transform the country marquee into a chic space which oozed elegance and beauty.
The top table featured a 22 foot long garland along the top of the table, while the tables were filled with beautiful roses, hydrangeas, clematis, spray roses and eucalyptus. It was such a special day, with the pictures in Wedding really showing what a fun and vibrant day they had.

Nikki has spent the morning at Top Drawer, the UK’s leading event for design-led gifts, lifestyle and fashion accessories and was overwhelmed by the talent at this year’s show. With over 800 inspirational carefully selected British and international suppliers, Nikki was delighted to see her good friend, Sophie Conran at the show displaying her latest collection for Burgon and Ball.
The Garden & Great Outdoors Collection is an exclusive range of ergonomically advanced tools and gloves, specifically designed with the female hand in mind. The range is also designed to encourage birds and insects into your garden as well as offering a range of ‘buckets of fun’ gift sets for lovers of the outdoors.
Nikki is such a fan of the range that she will be stocking the collection very soon at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart – watch this space!

Last Friday saw us shooting Nikki’s latest bouquet designs for our Valentine’s Day range. From the traditional red roses to multi-coloured penny roses to rich tulips, Nikki has created a range of bouquets that will offer something for everyone. Not wanting to give away too much until we launch the new range, here are a few sneaky pictures from the shoot.
Beautiful Naomi Roses make for a beautiful classic Valentine’s Day bouquet.
The luscious and aptly named pink rose, All For Love makes the perfect alternative to red roses.
Vibrant shades of penny roses make for a contemporary bouquet perfect for that someone special.
Looking for an alternative to roses? Tulips may not be your first thought but they really do make a stunning bouquet. Or if you want to stay true to the romantic rose but want a little something extra in your bouquet then why not opt for beautiful peach hypericum berries to add texture and depth.

We may have mentioned once or twice, Nikki’s dear friend and talented photographer, Martyn Thompson and shared with you his amazing work. However, today with the start of January, we wanted to share this fabulous picture which Martyn included in his New Year newsletter.
The drawing by Dove Drury Hornbuckle, is of carnations which are the birth flower for the month of January and most frequently a symbol of love. Often the different shade have different means such as the white carnation represents pure love and truth, the pink stands for a mother’s love, the red symbolizes worldly desires and approval, purple means unpredictable and opposing, whilst the green carnation, worn by Oscar Wilde, came to represent homosexual love in the early 20th century.
So, perhaps this month it’s a friend’s birthday or you want to show that special someone how much you care, then carnations are the perfect flowers to express how you feel, such as this gorgeous grey enamel jug filled with vintage carnations.
